Springs, cables and openers come with the decision

How long does a garage door last?
It depends on use, climate and maintenance. Springs commonly wear out well before the door does, so a door can last many years with periodic repairs. It's replaced when the panels, tracks or hardware are worn out.
Is an insulated garage door worth it in Ottawa?
If the garage is attached, heated, or has a room above it, yes, and it will also feel sturdier and quieter. For a detached, unheated garage the difference is smaller.
Can I replace just one damaged panel?
Sometimes. It works best on newer, common doors where matching panels are available — covered under garage door panel repair. On older or discontinued doors it's often not possible, and we'll say so.
Do I need a new opener with a new door?
